A little bit about me...

Hi, I'm Joshua! I love to spend my time photographing love stories! I specialise in wedding and engagement photography and have over 5 years experience. Since my first wedding I have had the pleasure of capturing countless beautiful weddings throughout the UK and also abroad from Colombia to Holland. I love taking photos that you can get excited about and that remind you of some of the most beautiful details and moments of your special day.

I also travel the world...

I had a dream as a little boy that one day I would pack my bag and just go and explore the world. Until I was 18 I had never left the United Kingdom and had no idea how much I would see over the next three years. I remember finding a small pot of foreign coins in our loft from my dad's work travels. It's amazing looking back at how much one moment can inspire you for years to come as my dad told me which country each coin came from.

Coming out of school I knew I was going to do something different. I don't think university was at the bottom of my list, I don't think it was even on my list. A 9-5 job wasn't an option. I made a deal with myself that I would never settle for doing something that I wasn't passionate about. I would never waste my time doing something that I didn't love. So, I started a one year internship at my church. Probably not what you expected to hear.

I committed 3 days of my week during my 'gap year' to develop the photography and design of the church and do my best to grow up a little. It was a decision that gave me the chance to learn, to develop and to grow in every area of my life and business. Not forgetting the opportunity to go with the church to Bogota, Colombia, for a conference with over 16,000 people in January 2013. My first steps off of home soil. My first plane journey. My first taste of travel.

As I peeled back the foil off of my first plane meal I started what was probably the worst but at the same time the best meal of my life. Today I would never miss a chance to be on a plane going somewhere new with just a plate of... well let's be honest, no one really knows what that stuff is.

I decided to save up and make it out to South Africa with my church just a month after I landed back home from Colombia. I stepped back onto another plane and headed 6000 miles in a different direction. I stood under blue skies watching over a thousand kids that had absolutely nothing smiling, jumping and dancing just because they knew that despite everything Jesus loved them. Funny again how one moment can change your whole perspective on life. I came home different.

Three years later I am still here, still volunteering my time, still developing and growing. I have been back to Bogota and South Africa every year since. In the summer of 2014 I decided to make good on the dreams of that little boy looking at franks and euros in the loft. I started the week as I usually do, looking at good ways to travel around but never actually going anywhere. However, this time at 4am on a Monday I decided to go for it. I booked my train pass through Europe. On Tuesday morning I booked my coach to Paris. On Wednesday the tickets arrived. On Thursday I packed my bag and left to start my adventure...
